- What animals do you care for?
We can care for dogs, cats, small animals (birds, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs, etc). We can also care for large birds and exotics.
- Are you bonded and insured?
Yes, we are bonded and insured. Unlike most pet sitters, we also carry worker's compensation for our pet sitters, which protects both you and our staff.
- Will you come to meet me and my animals before pet sitting begins?
Absolutely! After you make your first reservation we will set up a time to meet you and your animals, go over all the details of caring for your home and pets while you're away, and answer any questions you may have.
- Can you give medications to my pets?
Our pet sitters are skilled in giving medications as needed. We can give oral, liquid, and topical medications, as well as injections (such as insulin). Some of our sitters can also give subcutaneous fluids as well.
- How do you handle my keys?
We ask for two keys from each client. One stays with the pet sitter while he or she is caring for your animal, and the second stays in our locked safe. That way, should you normal sitter be sick, get in an accident, or be unavailable for some reason, we have a backup key and backup sitters who will make sure your animal receives all scheduled care. Most clients choose to leave their keys on file with us. Should you decide to have up pick the keys up and return them before and after a pet sit there will be a charge.
- When is payment due, and what forms of payment do you accept?
A non-refundable deposit for your first pet sit is due before we book your trip. Total payment for your first pet sit is due at the time of the initial consultation. For future pet sits, you may leave a check for us to pick up on the first visit. You will receive an email confirming your visits, with details of the cost several days before your trip starts. We accept cash and personal checks. You may also leave a tip for your pet sitter if you wish.
- What happens if my trip lasts longer than expected?
We will continue to care for your animals until we have confirmed that you are home, and we will bill you for the extra visits when you have returned. If you are able, please call us to let us know of delays or changes of plans as soon as possible.
- How can I be sure you'll remember my visits?
We take many steps to insure that the visits you've scheduled get done. First, you will receive a confirmation of your visits 4-5 days before you leave, so you know that we have you on the schedule. Each pet sitter also receives a daily email reminding them of all visits for the next three days. Office staff also looks at the complete schedule each day so we know who needs visits. Pet sitters are required to call into the office on their first and last visits of each day so we know that they've cared for everyone. Finally, any pet sitter who wants to be paid, must check off the visits they've completed in our pet sitting software system!
- What areas do you serve?
We provide pet sitting in Hershey, Hummelstown, Palmyra, and Campbelltown. Dog walking services are available in some areas. Please call for details.
